Inspection scope is determined by the written agreement, the requested service, property type, accessibility, conditions at the time of service, and applicable professional qualifications.

What an inspection is

Most NJCAT inspections are visual, non-invasive observations of accessible areas and systems at the time of inspection. Reports identify observed conditions and may recommend further review by qualified specialists.

Limits and exclusions

Conditions behind walls, below ground, concealed by belongings, inaccessible areas, future performance, code compliance, permit status, environmental conditions, and specialized systems may require a separate service or qualified professional. An inspection does not guarantee against future repairs or defects.

Specialty services

Drone, thermal imaging, plumbing scope, pool, seawall, insurance, WDO, air-quality, consulting, and forensic services are provided only when specifically included in the agreed scope and when conditions allow.
